This is NOT a copy, just two ways to refer to the same folder on the disk. What not a lot of people know is that it’s possible in Windows (for a very long time) to create what is known as a “symbolic link” which gives us the ability to give a single directory two different names/paths.
The CD version uses “~\Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2″ whereas UC uses “~\Documents\EA Games\The Sims™ 2 Ultimate Collection” (the coding genius that stuck an extended character into the path name needs a serious talking to!) OK, so anyone using UC knows about the pain the different file path it uses to the CD version of the game causes.
